Trackmen & Trackwomen

The UF Track Alumni was established on April 2, 2011 at the Florida Relays on The University of Florida campus in Gainesville, Florida between two UF Dark Ages (1977 - 1983) SEC Track Athletes; Hugo "Hugeaux" R. Miller and James "Jim" Pringle.  While attending the Florida Relays it dawned on us that we have no written history...thus The UF Track Alumni was born.

This website is created to document the men and women of the University of Florida Track & Field teams throughout the eras in Gainesville, Florida. The years from 1977 - 1983 have been coined the  "Dark Ages of UF Track".   The years from 1964 - 1976 have been coined the "Renaissance of UF Track".  Most of these documents are rare as little or no information exist on the trackmen and trackwomen who contributed to this great sport.  I have used my documenting skills to make sure that these great men and women are not forgotten.  This website shall serve as a research site.
